Description

Every year, at the end of January, thousands of bikers and bike aficionados arrive in Dania Beach to celebrate the Dania Beach Vintage Motorcycle show. This annual event began eleven years ago when a Dania Beach antique dealer asked bike enthusiasts, Clive Taylor and Clare Frost, to bring some vintage bikes to an event at her antique shop located across from the Dania Post Office. They started with 22 bikes the first year and 49 the second. As the event grew the city offered Frost Park as a venue and they accepted. Today, the one day event is a must see for over 7000 attendees, young and old who gather to marvel at hundreds of incredible vintage bikes. Some fans ride in on modern day bikes and others bring their powered cycles to the show.

In 2015 the oldest “vintage” bike ever brought to the show was a 1911 Pierce 4 cylinder by Jesse Cornell. The show offers prizes for outstanding presentations, there is great food, entertainment, and a swap meet where bike parts jewelry and other items are sold. Charities supported by the show are Southeastern Guide Dogs, Stray Aid and Rescue, and Dania Beach Lions Club.
