Description

Ahoy, Dania Beach mates! It is all hands-on deck this Earth Day for the fifth annual beach clean-up on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Volunteers will embark on a treasure hunt to help rid the shores of litter and protect the natural beauty of our coastline.

This year’s theme, “Pirates for a Pristine Beach,” transforms the clean-up into an exciting treasure hunt, where volunteers from local schools, non-profits, neighborhoods and businesses will scour the shoreline for litter “booty” and help protect Dania Beach’s natural beauty.

“For five years, we’ve been bringing the community together to care for our beach, and this year, we’re making it an adventure,” said Dania Beach Mayor Joyce L. Davis. “Keeping Dania Beach pristine is a commitment we all share. It’s not just about one day—it's about preserving the beauty and health of our coastline for generations to come.”

Volunteers will receive free parking, commemorative T-shirts and community service hours. The event will also feature fun contests, prize drawings, light bites and sweet treats, face painting, music and more to celebrate environmental stewardship.

The City of Dania Beach reminds residents that Earth Day is every day. Year-round clean-up stations are located along the beach, where visitors can grab a basket to collect litter while enjoying the coastal environment.
Join us on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 4-6 PM at Dania Beach Pier (300 N Beach Rd.) as we set sail for a cleaner beach! Enjoy fun contests, prize drawings, light bites, sweet treats, and kids’ face painting while giving back to our beautiful beach. Volunteers of all ages are welcome!
