Dania Beach was one of Broward County’s first municipalities to embrace an expedited permitting process.
The City became a Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Platinum City providing “concierge” service to help applicants in early project stages through its Economic Development Division and providing a user friendly on-line permitting software system for tracking. Combined with a comprehensive “One” Code adopted in 2012, the City’s expedited zoning approval and permitting process have won accolades for readiness and transparency despite a surge of more than $500 million in new permitting activities.
